!!!! BEWARE. After a photoshopped, fake "receipt" showing a "failed" electronic transfer of our deposit, we picked up a check in PERSON (Over a month past the date it was due to us). The check just BOUNCED. These people are such a headache to deal with, and it appears that they might be experiencing financial issues - probably not a stable company to rent from!

Initial review:
Dishonest management company! Inconsistent maintenance of building, bad cover-up jobs for real issues, dirty. They also haven't reached out regarding our deposit return. We've been emailing and calling daily for over a week with no reply whatsoever.
EDIT, one month later -
We still have not received our deposit. They just sent us an email saying the account number / routing was wrong when they tried to send, but didn't send a receipt of this "failed transaction". They could have let us know this weeks ago when they "attempted" to return our deposit. I verified that my banking information was not incorrect, and it's the same exact account I paid rent from for over 2 years. I guess it's easy for them to receive money from my bank account but impossible to deposit money that belongs to us back into it!

I want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding work of the team at Dalan Management, particularly the staff at 10 Lexington Avenue. Jay, Justin, Raymond, Superintendent Ani, and Porter Idris consistently demonstrate professionalism, responsiveness, and a genuine commitment to the residents and the property.
Their attention to detail, quick response times, and ability to resolve issues efficiently have made a noticeable difference. Whenever concerns arise, they are prompt, courteous, and dedicated to finding solutions. It is clear they take pride in their work and care about maintaining the building to a high standard.
I also understand that owning and managing residential buildings in New York City is no easy task, especially when dealing with difficult or disruptive tenants. Despite those challenges, this team does a superb job keeping the building running smoothly and creating a well-maintained environment for residents.
My only constructive feedback is directed toward the leasing process. I encourage Dalan Management to strengthen its vetting of prospective tenants. Bringing in residents who are respectful of their neighbors, the property, and the hardworking management and maintenance staff helps preserve the quality of the community. It is unfortunate to see staff members who work so hard have to deal with individuals who are inconsiderate of the building and those around them.
Overall, I truly appreciate the dedication and professionalism of Jay, Justin, Raymond, Ani, and Idris. Their hard work does not go unnoticed, and they deserve recognition for the excellent job they do every day.

After trying to work with 20+ other brokers that were unhelpful and unresponsive, working with Ella Katz made the apartment rental process as easy as it can possibly be. She was super helpful and responded promptly to all of my questions. The Dalan properties application and signing process was simple and easy to navigate. Thank you Ella and Dalan for your help!
